No Caddx Vista FPV included, means?
#1
I'm looking at the Flywoo Explorer V2, "No Caddx Vista HD FPV included"

This means, no VTX, and no camera, is that correct? That would be all I need? I plan to make it analog. I like the Explorer V2 Caddx Tarsier, but it seems nowhere to be found.

Is it fair to assume this (V2) version has the F745 FC? Even the Flywoo website seems unclear. It says some of the Explorer V2s have the F4 FC, is that a typo? Can I also assume this (no Vista included version) comes with a LHCP antenna?

Thanks

Yes, that means it does not include the Caddx Vista "air unit"....receiver/vtx/camera. So if you're going analog I'd guess you would be fine, unless there is something specifically different about the frame that might make it hard to mount your hardware.

A quick follow up:

I just checked RDQ and you can find the analog version here: https://www.racedayquads.com/products/fl...6baa&_ss=r Looks to be $10 cheaper than the HD with no Caddx Vista version. That said, it also says it is an F4.

The Flywoo Explorer V2, "No Caddx Vista HD FPV included" has the F7 FC but It was reported that the ESC is blheli_s (not blhelli_32).

If you are ordering the kit then ensure the vtx antenna is RHCP which is common with analog setups. The vista setup is by default LHCP.

If buying directly from Flywoo, leave a note while ordering to request for an RHCP antenna. I had requested an mmcx connector instead of ufl and they exchanged antennas for me.

It seems all of the Goku (16x16) ESC's, the 13, 20 and 35A run BLHeli.S. I don't see any that are BLHeli.32.
I'm not sure how much better BLHeli32 is, but I do know the F7 is logically better than F4. I guess I don't need my motors to play music, so BLHeli S is fine.
A LHCP is what I run on my goggles anyway.

Even the Flywoo website is all over the place, it says the 35A esc has an F4...huh?! Last I checked, the processor was on the flight controller, or am I confused?

I will likely order it from either RDQ or GetFPV, I've had great -service- with both of them, and I know it will be here in less than a week. Ok, those are the only places I've ordered from, but I don't want to gamble $200+ on a vendor I've never bought from.

My brain hurts Smile

I've spent a TON of money with RDQ and can say without a doubt they have outstanding customer service. I've had a couple cases where something was wrong with a component (bad motor once and USB connector popped off an AIO board) and both times they replaced them without hesitation. Truly a good company to work with and one that I like supporting because they are supporting us in their efforts against the FAA.

There are significant technical improvements with blheli32 vs blheli_s. Not just the ability to play music.

blheli_s is no longer being developed and there are paid alternatives such as JESC or opensource versions blheli_m or bluejay that provide some missing features such as RPM telemetry but you need to know what you are doing and keep an eye of latest bugs reported, else you may brick the esc's.

But for a cruising rather than freestlye/racing Explorer LR type quad, blheli_s is suitable.

Flywoo is trying to make money out of these BNF's and basically put together a bare minimum set of components focused on cost and weight savings.

The only reason the HD version got an F7 processor was because of the softserial issues and not having enough UART's to run GPS and the Vista unit. Also blheli_s esc's are cheaper and smaller than blheli_32 esc's.
