Discussion New DJI FPV products for 2021 - Discussion thread

I was just hoping for this, I would like to go to digital in the future, and was hoping for 1 set of goggles for all my quad and whoops..

The new V2 googles are exactly the same form factor and have the same AV in capabilities so you will still be able to use an external analogue module as per currently with the V1 goggles. I was originally going to do that with mine but the DJI goggles are noticeably heavier on the head compared to analogue goggles and I'm not sure if I really want to load them up with even more weight of a module and an adapter, so I will probably just continue using my lightweight analogue goggles for any analogue quads I have.

Have DJI announced anything new as far as viewing in audience mode, or are the only options still either DJI goggles or a Smart Controller (or both)?

The new DJI FPV Goggles V2 will have video out to the DJI Go Fly app on a mobile device but it's not clear yet if that function will only work for the new DJI FPV Drone or if it will also work for Air Unit and Caddx Vista feeds from our FPV quads. Someone already tried the V2 goggles with the DJI Smart Controller but couldn't get it to work.

It looks like the V1 goggles won't be getting that feature so you will still need to use a Smart Controller for video out on the V1 goggles.
