I've experienced issues with the motors, burnt escs, broken antenna, and lots more but I have learned a lot and am excited to get into the hobby. This time I'm stuck on a problem I just can't figure out. I'm using a Kiss FC v1 with Kiss 24a race edition escs and 2300KV motors. My receiver is the X4r-sb connected to my Taranis Qx7. I've gotten the Kiss FC flashed with the latest firmware, along with the 24a escs. I've bound my Qx7 to the X4r-sb receiver with telemetry working. I've been referencing Rotor Riot's alien build since they use the Kiss hardware and the X4r. So here's my problem: When I was trying to get my arm switch to work when I realized my receiver wasn't picking up what my transmitter was doing, even though they were definitely bound (green light and everything). So if they are bound, why isn't anything happening? Here is a screen shot of the page. When I move the sticks the values don't change. Also here are my settings. I wouldn't be surprised if it is something simple, I'm still getting the hang of it. Feel free to ask any further questions. Your input is appreciated, hope you can help me finish this . • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 Don't know if it's the same on FrSky or not, but with my Spektrum, I have to turn on my transmitter BEFORE I plug in my USB cable. Thanks for the idea though. • Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 Oscar has reviewed the Kiss FC using the X4R, maybe the set up part of the article might shed some light? Yeah, I read the article and there didn't seem to be any differences in the way he set up the X4r and the way I did. • Posts: 5,319 Threads: 673 Likes Received: 3,155 in 1,743 posts Likes Given: 2,031 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 can you take a picture showing your FC and Receiver connection? • Posts: 321 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 123 in 88 posts Likes Given: 164 Joined: Nov 2017 Reputation: 6 Try updating firmware. Your receiver probably is all fine. It might be the FC that is wrong. • Posts: 9 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Jan 2018 Reputation: 0 (04-Jan-2018, 02:18 AM)raspberrypi33 Wrote: I mean on your FC from Betaflight. Okay, I'm running one of the beta firmwares so I'll definitely try a different one. • Posts: 9 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: Jan 2018 Reputation: 0 (04-Jan-2018, 02:49 AM)braden_smoker Wrote: Okay, I'm running one of the beta firmwares so I'll definitely try a different one.
