I'm very glad that you liked the last video. @Roger - Thanks for the input, I have talked to my friend during the saturday and sunday flying sessions (we were both together for 16h in 48h so we had a ton of time to talk together about everything). He has also recommended the BF 4.2 Version just because I can't yet enable the GPS Rescue mode on 3.5.5. I mean I can enable it, but I can't handle a switch to it. The reason is I have only 8 AUX channels right? The first 4 as usual for quad movement, and then one for RSSI, one for buzzer, one for arming and the last one for flight mode (I still like to land my quad with LOS sometimes when its really muddy and wet on the ground on a soft dry blanket). So that's the main reason that I think I would gain an AUX channel in newer BF because as my friend told me I don't need an AUX switch anymore for the RSSI to showup on the OSD. Well that is cool really! P.s. Now that I have seen Joshua's video about the RPM filtering I really want to jump right now straight into it. Gonna make a dump file and save all my settings and get right to setting up a newer version 4.2.X Thanks once again all! Keep this thread in your eyes, I'm gonna make a new video during the week from the saturday session, that was all foggy and cloudy and looks also nice. You might find some helpful information on combining multipule modes on one switch by Joshua Bardwell. I have been doing this. Its easy to make better use of limited switches. And, in some cases you can use logical switching instead of a physical switches too. I am using logical switching (in INAV) to automatically raise or lower my vtx power according to how far away my quad is from launch/home position. This time we drove 2h (and more) from my home and we were driving a small narrow road towards the mountain tops. In the end finally we arrived and started to fly. It was one exquisite day because we had all afternoon sun, the planes were flying low (but not too low) and the helicopters were flying in the valley next to us lower than we were standing. It was a very beautiful sight. Hope you enjoy it! Also I have tested the new Molicel P42A batteries, they are a miracle! A 4000mAh 6S and I had a 7 minute flight and used only 2000mAh. I am very happy since it was 1°C with wind so the battery handled it very well. As has been said, you are in the best area for mountain surfing. With that said, this most recent video just doesn't have the snap the others did. That is the thing for those who are doing this in the area you are flying in, heck we in the USA have that kind of scenery. To go backwards in the scenery, is ho hum. My apologies if my critique is different you were looking for. You do great videos, keep them coming and make them amazing. The only thing stopping you is you, because the area is phenomenal. I excitedly wait for the next video! • Posts: 53 Threads: 8 Likes Received: 70 in 26 posts Likes Given: 34 Joined: Oct 2020 Reputation: 3 Thank you guys for the support! @ Krohsis - No problem, every feedback is a good feedback. In this way I know I have to work on my flights and method more. I have really not asked for much wow or appreciation, I wanted to have a memory of this day because it was such nice weather and I thought ok, I will share with you guys my video. Next one will be a bit more interesting I hope, the only problem is I have to find a co-pilot which will follow me on my journey. I am having something more extreme (in heights) next time and it involves a big mountain of course. I will keep you updated here guys. • Posts: 53 Threads: 8 Likes Received: 70 in 26 posts Likes Given: 34 Joined: Oct 2020 Reputation: 3 26-Feb-2021, 01:26 PM (This post was last modified: 26-Feb-2021, 01:32 PM by Getz01.) Almost a month later I present you my latest adventure from last weekend. This was a 2 hour road trip and I really had a blast! I have also met one new flight buddy which lives in the vicinity of Zurich. The problem was it was very very cold, but in the end it was very nice! The footage is from a GoPro 7 Black stabilised with the integrated hypersmooth. Lucky to have it on the camera because it was very windy! It was pulling and pushing the quad all the time. The drone was my newly build Aquilla 7" from MileHigh3D shop. You can see the details in the video description. Height of the mountain is about 2300m and from my point of standing it was about 1700m high from me and about 1.8km away in distance. Hope you enjoy! How the heck do you get up there? How far is your car parked? And how much do you walk/hike? Great videos man! Thank you for your footage! Great videos man! Thank you for your footage! Hey, we were actually not that far away from the ending of the clip, but I've done a quick edit and uploaded it so you can see for yourself. There was a man in the car and he was driving next to us and was a bit suspicious about what we were doing, and I had a problem because I wanted to land and he was driving upfront of us when I wanted to go down, so yeah that is why I was circling a bit before touchdown. @everyone - Thanks guys for being so kind. I really enjoy doing the videos but most of all I really like the flying. Building and repairing is also nice but the most beautiful thing is the live version what I see when I'm up there. To be honest I don't enjoy much the editing of the videos but in the end it is the most closest thing I can share with you and my subscribers. I am very glad that things look better and better in the videos, but in the end I am really more trying to get my flying skills better. This mountain was really tricky, there was wind, there was video signal loss, and it was so cold that my buddy and I were really shaking a lot during the flights. Also not to forget to mention I have flown this flight without the GPS module, because I still don't have it on this build. So the numbers come from my 5" drone where I have it installed. And not to forget, I think it is important to understand that our lives were in risk a little because that whole sector underneath is avalanche area. There was a sign clearly saying that staying in this area is life threatening because of big avalanche activity. I knew it, my buddy knew it, my wife and son (in the car) they knew it. But I drove 2 hours from my home to get to the spot and I didn't want to turn around without getting a dive or two. We left the area in maybe 40 minutes so nothing happened to us and we were safe. But yea, no one except that car drove trough that road or no people were seen. • Posts: 53 Threads: 8 Likes Received: 70 in 26 posts Likes Given: 34 Joined: Oct 2020 Reputation: 3 Hi girls and boys, it is me again! This Sunday I went to fly with my buddy which has made me an addict to LR flights. We made a small agreement we want to fly on this day and that we want to start early. So we went far, we did a lot and FUN was had. 3 drones were used (I flown 5" and 7"), I spent about 9 batteries, we visited 4 locations. I left home before 7 AM and I arrived back home at 9 PM. The wife was not generally too happy , but she was glad I had fun. I drove 290km (I know its not much for you guys from the States, but for me it was a lot) and I was really tired when I arrived home, but the smile was there. All and all, this were my favourite 2 flights I had on this location called "Gastlosen". It is a mountain chain in the Jaunpass close to the village Jaun. This video shows a mid-range flight, but I am also preparing a LR flight which I did 2.2km away from an old castle (this video will be in the making soon). Hope you will enjoy as much as I did flying! • Posts: 41 Threads: 29 Likes Received: 24 in 19 posts Likes Given: 10 Joined: Apr 2021 Reputation: 1 Wow, that place is Awesome!!!! Posts: 53 Threads: 8 Likes Received: 70 in 26 posts Likes Given: 34 Joined: Oct 2020 Reputation: 3 Hi guys, I'm back with a new one! This Sunday I've went with my 3 buddies to central Switzerland and we went on a new location. It was special for me because this is my first DJI build and I had a ton of problems before I got it to be ready for a maiden. In the end I went on the mountain and prayed for the best. I took one quick short LiPo to get the GPS satelite lock-in and made a short small 2 minute flight to get the feeling of it how it flies and to check the tune. In the end it was very very windy so I didn't know if the drone flies good or not, but I said what the hell and lets do it. So my young buddy and me went on this duo flight and we enjoyed this 12 minute flight. We have went to this 2092m high peak and flown a couple of times to the top and back again. My Molicel P42 6S batteries are really the best investment I've did. Plus DJI rocks! Enjoy guys! |
