MURDER HORNET!!!
#1
I think this is my best build to date. I have decided to join the dark side and ordered some DJI Goggles. This is my first DJI build.
Here is the list:

Frame: FR7

Flight Controller: Holybro Kakute HDV

ESC: Tekko 32 45a (Rev. C)

VTX: DJI Air Unit

Camera: DJI

Motors: Brother Hobby 2808 1500kv (FR Version)

Rx: Crossfire Nano Diversity

Antennas: Rx- Imortal T and TrueRC Bardpole
               Tx- TrueRC Long range LHCP

And now for the pictures.

This is the raw frame.

I decided to try a something a little different and paint the frame.

Soldered the esc wires a little different then I normally do as well. This frame is a little short so I tried to save as much room as I could.

All soldered up.

I love the color contrast with this drone. almost an abstract piece of art lol.

Definitely not a Sub 250 Quad lmao.

As I am still waiting for the goggles to show up, I have not had the chance to do a maiden flight yet. Hopefully by this week they will arrive and I can fly this beast.

I’d like to see how that flies! Dang the motors keep getting better. My only question is are the 7” props keeping up with these bigger motors?

These motors are actually 2808 lol. I wrote this post late last night. My bad. Honestly though, I have another 7" with 2808's on them and fly freestyle with it with no problems. This one I plan on using as a mountain cruiser. My other 7" will do 100mph easy and im due this one will be no different.

motor kv on the avenger v3 2812 are around 1000kv for 9inch blades, might not give the right kv number on 2812 for a performance beast?!?

Looking forward to some awesome footy from that bad boy!! Popcorn

They say if you go HD, you'll never go back...let us know your impressions once you have flown it a few times.

Welcome tp the world of digital HD. That is one pretty build! I love the yellow with the black, hard to beat a combo like that. I also like the wire sleeves on the motor wires. I've seen that now a couple times and I have to say it not only looks awesome but a great way to protect the wires. Where do you source it?

You inspired me to paint this one man but I think it'll be the last one I paint. I love the way it looks but it was a pain in the ass lol. And messy. I will post video as soon as I get my goggles. Can't wait to surf some mountains in hd man! Picacho Peak here I come.
