Ahoy guys, just a quick question.
I'm making the jump on ELRS as the control link on a larger quad.
At the moment they have all been crossfire running on a QX7 but with my new TX being this:
I'm now rocking an xlite pro with HM ELRS PRO nano module TX. This TX is a thumber's wet dream, lol..
I trust this TX more than my jumper t-lite and its crappy battery bay.
So I'm in the midst of rebuilding my badger 6" frame due to a nasty crash. Gumtree 1, badger 0
I'm wondering where to mount these pissy little 2.4GHz antennas. I'd thought I would go with an arm mount, staying away from the VTX components. These antennas a no immortal-T's like crossfire, they are VERY much mortal... (see what I did there? lol...)
Here's where I'm going with the placement for now:
Two zipties for rigidity and I will most likely heatshrink the dipoles with a piece of plastic as a splint/brace for strength. Already though I don't like it....
What's everyone's thoughts on mounting a ELRS 2.4GHz antenna on a large(ish) quad like this 6" badger frame by armattan?
Cheers,
ph2t.
