It can fly even with a 500mah 1s but will feel heavy.

300-350mah 1s is a good compromise.

I agree. The bigger batteries do "feel" heavy, but then it depends on what you want to do. I have even flow my whoops with a 1S 650 mAh battery and get fly times up to 10 minutes. Yeah, heavy, but long time in the air.

On the other hand, the 300-450 is good if you want to do more stunts and don't need long fly times. A 300 mAh will provide the most performance and agility, at the expense of time. If you want 2 minutes of performance.

If you don't know what you want, buy a few different sizes and try them...see which ones best fit your needs and flying style.

By the way, 650 mAh is the largest 1S LiPo battery for whoops that I have been able to find...so that is pretty much the maximum.

OK, an 18650 cell might work, but it will not fit without special mounting. These cells are known for long fly times with next to zero performance...do a loop and you might end up on the ground. The only reason that I mention this is because there is some activity in the Nano Long Range category where they are using a single 18650 cell.

Maybe a whoop could also use a single 18650 cell  Thinking  Now, that might be interesting  Dodgy
