Mobula 7 1s analog Elrs Configurator Target
#1
Hello,
Can someone please help me?  I have had to reflash my Mobula 7 1s Analog and now need to get it to ELRS 3.0  I having trouble getting ELRS Configurator to Build and Flash. I was getting errors No serial device detected.  Now I am getting the error Change Config and try again. It detected that my Mobula 7 has as ELRS SPI Receiver.
I think it means I dont have the correct Target Device Category & the Device. What would those be, please.  By the way, how to determine what version of ELRS your Quad has?

I very much appreciate your help.

Depending on exactly which model you have, it could have one of many different AIOs. If you have the older version of the X12 AIO, that uses a SPI ELRS receiver, so you cannot flash the RX firmware to it. SPI ELRS firmware is built into BF, if you want to use ELRS 3.x, you would need to update your BF to the 4.4 or higher.
It does not seem that HM provides any 4.4 target on their website, so flashing would be at your own risk. Make sure you back up your CLI and choose the correct target after physically verifying if you in fact have that board (check the printed model number).

Thank you, I just reflashed it to BFC 4.50 Now everything is connecting! The only problem I am having is that the Motors Screech when trying to lift off...but doesnt lift off. This is why I went back to BFC 4.3.1 then lost all connectivity.
I know the reasons a quad spazzes out on Arming. But none the things I have fixed this issue.

If 4.5.0 gives you trouble you can down grade to 4.4.3 instead of going all the way back to 4.3.1.

BetaFlight 4.3.X will only give you ExpressLRS 2.X BetaFlight 4.4.X will give you ExpressLRS 3.X

Sounded like you need ExpressLRS 3.X and has an SPI receiver so you need to flash BetaFlight 4.4.X and not 4.3.1.

Yes I have the ELRS versions matching. I have some serious motor rotation issues. With a little throttle the quad rotates right and does not lift off.

Make sure all the motors and spinning the correct rotation. Maybe during the re-flash the motors direction changed.

Here is the prob I have had for a long time. In Betaflight Configurator Motors Tab (Reorder Motors) It says Click on the spinning motors .... but none of the motors spin! when I click on them. The same with Motor Direction using Wizard or Individually none of the motors spin when I Select them. It has worked on other Quads but NEVER the Mobula 7 1s. In BFC the Motors are reversed as per Happymodel. In ESC Configurator I reversed them there as well. Is that OK? Mob 7 will still not lift off.

If I sent you a Video of the motors spinning at a low speed would you be able to tell the rotation of each and if the props are correct?

You can easily figure out motor rotation by holding the quad securely and spin the motor. If you feel wind on your face looking from the top then the props are spinning the wrong way.

I just finished setting my AOS T3 motors with a new flight controller. Just be careful but a Mobula 7 is not really that big.

Thank you. One last question, I never removed the Props and yet air is pushing UP not Down! (explaining why Mob 7 is not lifting off) How could that happen?

Yeah I click on the wizard and nothing spins either. So I click on motors individually. Click normal. Test spin. If in correct I click on same motor and hit reverse and test spin. Sometimes I have to hit save a couple of times but they work. Once I find out which motor is which, generally the diagonal motors will be the same. Either normal or reversed.

Either motors spinning incorrectly or propellers installed incorrectly. Look at the diagram. If the motor reversed slider is not on the front props are spinning into the center line of the quad. If the reversed motor slider is click to yellow the props rotation will indicate spinning away from center line of the quad. You installed the propeller according to the diagram first as to which way you prefer the propeller to spin. A lot of people like to spin prop out. I do myself.

Once that is done. I test spin each motor individually and make sure wind is blowing down on the quad. If not, I reverse the motor rotation. Clicking reverse on the individual motor may not mean the motor is now reversed. You may have to click on normal for the motor to spin the way to push air down. 50/50 chance, trial and error and you will get the hang of it.
