I watched the new DJI FPV drone and JB mentioned the new systems work on two frequencies with dual antennas.

  I’m wondering if the newer air units and Caddx vista vtx/camera packages will lose range or work properly  with V1 goggles.

 I was thinking of getting a Caddx Vista unit for my next drone but will I be better waiting for the V2 made for version 2 goggles???

DJI did do some great technology and hopefully it’ll work it’s way into real FPV bashers and racers.

There are no new versions of the DJI Air Units of Caddx Vista units, and no new hardware for those in the pipeline, and there may never be. The Air Units and Caddx Vista units that we currently have and continue to buy work as they always have and will only work on 5.8GHz. They have not been FCC certified to operate on 2.4GHz so even if they had the hardware capabilities and firmware update to enable that it's not going to happen. The V2 goggles have just been made backwards compatible to work with the current Air Units and Caddx Vista units on 5.8GHz only.
