Just got these in, don't they look pretty? I was told metal capped MOSFET runs cooler than traditional fets, so that's something to look forward to when testing these Now we can monitor ESC temperature through telemetry By the way these are 60A ESC (continuous) so should be able to take some pretty bad abuse! I just picked up one of their 7" XL frame and for an under $40 frame, the quality is excellent Dude, where's my quad? • Posts: 1,013 Threads: 11 Likes Received: 452 in 349 posts Likes Given: 372 Joined: Dec 2017 Reputation: 16 Does look nice. I just checked out their website and saw the Succex 50A slick esc's. They will fit in the wire grooves of my Fossils stuff Gravity frame to protect from a prop strike. May have to try them out. • Posts: 1,773 Threads: 30 Likes Received: 1,199 in 755 posts Likes Given: 714 Joined: Oct 2016 Reputation: 45 Nice, but at well over $100 by the time it arrives at my door, I'll pass Dude, where's my quad? • Posts: 545 Threads: 28 Likes Received: 135 in 101 posts Likes Given: 94 Joined: Oct 2018 Reputation: 6 Sure look's like a stunner, Hope those mosfets don't short because of the metal. Underneath will be non-electrical conductive thermal paste between the cap and the MOSFET. The caps will likely be pretty well sealed on so that no water can get under them to the MOSFETs. While there are no guarantees, the MOSFETS themselves should be far more resilient to moisture than normal ESCs which have all their pins exposed are. It's just a metal cap, like a heatsink • Posts: 58 Threads: 15 Likes Received: 30 in 16 posts Likes Given: 41 Joined: Sep 2018 Reputation: 1 (16-Jan-2019, 02:43 AM)RENOV8R Wrote: Nice! iFlight seems to be come onto the scene with some quality products at a reasonable price. Granted I don't have very high standards since this frame replaced my busted Wizard x220s frame, which is my first and only carbon framed quad (not to mention weak AF). iflight seems to have the most consistently good selection on quad parts on Amazon with decent (albeit infrequent) reviews. If you just need a basic replacement part asap without waiting a decade on shipping, iFlight seems to do the job beautifully. • Posts: 52 Threads: 2 Likes Received: 28 in 23 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Mar 2018 Reputation: 2 Oh Im using one of these beautys on my 7in Really dont want to solder it since its so pretty Posts: 1,773 Threads: 30 Likes Received: 1,199 in 755 posts Likes Given: 714 Joined: Oct 2016 Reputation: 45 19-Jan-2019, 04:28 AM (This post was last modified: 19-Jan-2019, 04:29 AM by RENOV8R.) The solder will flow through and when you flip it over, you'll have the perfect solder dome to solder your motor wires to. Dude, where's my quad? Black and red for ground and voltage are flipped so they match up with telemetry and current. Doesn't matter much since you should double check pinouts any way. Just don't magically assume black goes to ground. |
