2 Bought a couple 4000mah 6S 45A (Molicel) LI-ION pack. Its still cold winter.
How cold is too cold for flying LI-ION? Should i wait for warmer weather?
Reason i ask is i read that LI-ION dont like cold?

19 I have a heater bag for my LiPo/Li-on packs and that makes a considerable diifference, but then I'm not doing long duration, when "in use" chilling would matter more.
However, pre-warming adds roughly two minutes to my 4S 1800mAh LiPo packs used for freestyle. Newish packs increase from 5min 30s up to either side of 8 mins.
A flying buddy made his own from a cool bag with telescope heater (I bought the ETHIX unit) and has gained similar results.

19 Depends on your flight usage, if you are just cruising then motor load will maybe not keep the pack warm and duration will drop.
As I fly reasonably aggressive freestyle, a pre-warmed pack stays warm during flight despite wind chill.
Nothing to stop you sleeving the cells into a more cohesive "pack", then prewarmed they'd maybe retain enough temp.
