i did manage to run the lua scripts.
but yes, the splash screen has a horizontal line in it, and things act weird.
should i try change the uarts or flash the firmware again to the transmitter. what's first ?

If the transmitter is acting weird then that has nothing to do with what UARTs are being used on the FC. I think you really want to try and fix that issue first, so I would re-flash OpenTX 2.3.11 to your QX7. Make sure you also update the bootloader to the same version.

ok,
but any special details about the version ?
today was my first time messing with this update, using linux windows emulator, then, a linux version, then virtual windows machine inside linux,  etc...
so,
here are the setings that i set in opentx companion.

I then downloaded the file, extracted it, and copied it to the sd card, then, i installed from the sd card.
i think that that was the only way i managed to flash.
now, when i am a little bit more familiar with the apps, i might be able to complete it faster, directly via linux.

so,  i am just waiting to hear that the settings are fine (note that i chose stable versions, but in most of the videos they recommend to choose the nightly builds, but in my interface - linux ? - the is no option like that, only release candidates - testing. now.. i think that that means nightly builds, but i wasn't sure, so i chose the the stable version. also, i did not have the option of luac, which i saw in videos online today, and even the default channel order is different then what we have in betaflight.)

Yes, those options are fine. The separate 'luac" option no longer exists. It's automatically enabled when you select "lua". Unless you need a specific feature only available in a development version (nightly build) then always use the stable version.

and if it stil doesnt work'
i'll replace the uart pads to #3, and we'll see what's next...

UPDATE :
updating the controller did not change anything.
but after replacing the uart from 2 to 3, it seems to work fine. i saw movements in beta flight, and i could arm disarm. and beep.
the only weird thing is that 2 seconds after disconnecting the battery the controller says : reception gone away (or something that rims with it)
I'll go to sleep and test it outside tommorrow.
thanks for the support and patience, you are the best SNOW
