I feel very annoyed with DJI, I may try and purchase another few Air Units but that will be the last DJI products I ever purchase.
The value of my 1 month old V2 Goggles just took a nose dive.
V1 Goggles even worse.
Sadly I'm not the only one that had heavily invested in this stupid company.
Its a big win for Sharkbyte, l can see myself getting one eventually... sigh.

As you have the V2 Goggles you can just buy the new plastic fantastic DJI FPV Drone and use them with that Big Grin What more could you ever want? Whistling

Most of the main stream vendors now seem to be out of stock of DJI Air Units (the set that comes with a cable and camera), and spare DJI cameras now also seem to be sold out in most places too. I can't even find any Caddx Vista Nebula Pro units in stock from any vendors in my country. I think a lot of people have maybe jumped on the panic band wagon and bought up a load of the remaining stock to try and protect their investment in case the Caddx manufactured kit ends up being sub-par, or the main Air Units get discontinued entirely in favour of the 720p Caddx Vista units without 1080p or onboard recording capabilities. No-one has any clue because DJI public relations and transparency seems to be totally non-existent, so everyone is just left hanging on a thread and wondering what happens next. Of course, the YouTube shills are still pushing and promoting DJI as the system to buy using their affiliate links so they continue to get their commission.

Yes, transparency is just one of those words... Big fpv names on youtube just seem sure of themselves that everything will remain great and most of the people on digital are just way to into the system to rollback now. Even if everything remains OK it seems this is just a sign on how things will develop in the future. If fatshark put some competitive equipament on the market maybe they will grab some clients but if they keep those prices there is no real reason to choose fatshark.

Even the Divimath HDzero solution is using a custom ASIC which they own the IP for. So we are always going to fully reliant on the single manufacturer who owns the IP of the ASIC not to abandon what they are doing and leave us in the lurch. You don't get any of that with analogue for the simple reason that all of the hardware used is readily available off-the-shelf for all to use with no-one owning the IP for any specific part of the analogue ecosystem.

I think you're dead on here. Just look at what the availability of LoRa chipsets has done to RC link development. The fact that the only solution now is a custom ASIC means this is a ways off unless some other application spurs development. It will certainly happen eventually though!
