0 29-May-2019, 01:16 PM (This post was last modified: 29-May-2019, 01:18 PM by sim_tcr.) I have been flying my 5 inch with ublox m8n gps and was able to successfully test pos hold, rth, missions.
Few months back it had a crash and after that i feel nav functions are not functioning well. One of Gps flashing green light never blinks. (Still get sats, but slow)
So I am planning to replace gps with beitian bn-880 from banggood
Is that a good choice?

65 I have found the BN-880's to be disposable after crashes. My Matek has been on two aircraft and suffered several bad, broken frame like crashes and still keeps going.
For the price, the Beitan to be a a decent unit for the money...but it is not robust and now that I have been through 4 of them I could have spent a little extra and not been replacing them regularly.

11 I agree with Kaity
The 880 was a good price but i have had far too many failures. I built 2 quads over the winter and the 880 failed in both of them before I got through the flight test/setup (nothing wrong on my install to cause the failures). I had purchased 1 from BG and 1 from USA, so when the current working 880 expires that will probably be the last one for me.
I have had good success with the 180's and 220's but i wanted one with a compass.
IF YOU BUILD IT, IT WILL CRASH
