Inside drone ... build or buy? suggestions?
#1
I'm looking for suggestions for something to fly inside.  I would usually build my own.  For the price it seems like maybe I should just buy a pre-made tiny-whoop.

I'm not trying to lift a cam or anything, just have fun on cold, windy, snowy days.

I need crossfire and hopefully 2s battery compatible (I have a pile of 2s, 300mah)

Thanks for any help.

There's a Crossfire version of the Newbeedrone AcroBee 65 https://newbeedrone.com/collections/newb...1131839571 which can take 1S or 2S, although it looks like its out-of-stock along with the no-receiver option. Also not sure if 2S might be too much for flying indoors.

I've just added Crossfire to a Hummingbird F4 Pro but that's 1S only.

I have built them from parts, but that was a few years ago. With the newest wave, it is cheaper just to buy one anymore. Also, there are some really hot whoops these days that seem pretty cool.

I just got a Mobula 6 1900Kv and I have no complaints.
Good video, plenty of power for indoors and I have flown it outdoors if no wind or breeze.

Here’s a good informative video.

if you like to send less, you should by a pnp. if you like to build one by yourself, might be more expensive, i like building by myself... i like tuning by myself... but in terms of value for money....
the happymodel moblite 6 or 7 are improved in comparison about weight and performence, somehow less crashresistant.

batteries doesnt like cold conditions, its very bad on tiny batteries. you will need to preheat and cover them to get performance.
bigger batteries does cooldown slower, the issue would be less important on higher voltage and bigger batteries.

I would suggest that you just buy one. I just built an 85mm tiny whoop, Tiny-Black-85, and the cost for parts alone was over 140 US Dollars.
