inav artificial horizon offset range
#1
Id like to add more down tilt to the camera on my fpv wing, but the allowed range for artificial horizon offset is only -2 - 2. Running inav 7. Is there a way to increase this allowable range? i also tried using camera tilt angle in osd settings but that didnt seem to make any difference. Right now im using horizon offset of 2 and that does work, just not enough to get my horizon where it needs to be. using dji o3 if that makes any difference. i do have it in betaflight osd mode to make it work properly with dji.

if you're using "osd_horizon_offset" then you limit is +2/-2 degrees as you have it but that is for the entire OSD including the side bars. for pixel osd (not sure under what your dji 03 goes) use "osd_ahi_vertical_offset". if you want only to shift your AHI then try using "osd_camera_uptilt". also play around with "osd_ahi_camera_uptilt_comp" on/off to see if that gets you the result you want.

Thanks! enabling the camera uptilt comp in cli did the trick for getting the horizon in place using uptilt setting, but my crosshairs are still at the center of screen and will only move the -2,2 with horizon offset. is there a way to also get my crosshairs to offset more than that -2,2?

crosshair is a static object so bound to the whole osd like the sidebars.. i fly without a crosshair Smile if this is critical i would try different styles of crosshair and/or different fonts. every font has its own crosshair and they are not standardized. some also act weird and if you fly WP missions with radar enabled you need a active crosshair even though not visible. there is some strange stuff around the crosshair in inav... no specific cli command to move the crosshair individually..

ok, i suppose its not all that important. i know that straight forward is just below the top of my screen. Getting the horizon was the main thing so i can get an idea of whats happening when im traveling through clouds. I do have pitch angle enabled so i can tell if im level or not.

wow through clouds no less.. hope you have your IFR current Smile make sure that your FC is level otherwise change the board alignement. test RTH and see that he can keep the plane actually level. good luck!
