I am looking at getting into drone piloting and building an analogue PFV drone myself to get started. So any info on where to start would be great.
Thanks

Thanks 05-Apr-2024, 10:53 AM Welcome to the forum A good place to start would be to have a read of Oscar's article at the following link... https://oscarliang.com/how-to-build-fpv-drone You will also find a wealth of other FPV related information and articles on his website to immerse yourself in -> https://oscarliang.com This very forum is owned and managed by Oscar if you weren't already aware 05-Apr-2024, 12:05 PM I wasnt aware and thanks very much for the links! Looking forward to starting a new hobby :-) 07-Apr-2024, 10:44 AM Welcome 12-Apr-2024, 06:30 PM Welcome! 12-Apr-2024, 07:26 PM (05-Apr-2024, 10:40 AM)MeatPopsicle Wrote: Allocate a good healthy budget for the adventure. It is a journey and not an end goal. Allocate a good amount of time into learning. Sit and watch hours and hours of YouTube videos on various parts related to these multi copters and more specifically FPV. The equipment and the software. All the way from the pilot on the ground to the flying machine. You have transmitters which is a handset hardware. In the transmitter there are a few different pieces of software that runs the different parts. Like the operating system, the RF module and the protocol. The firmware to run those protocols to get the signal out to the flying machine. Then you have the goggles and the corresponding receiver to receiver the video signal send down from the flying machine. Then you have the flying machine itself. That can be a very long post. So not to bored you for now. You can ask when you need help. 18-Apr-2024, 06:11 PM have a quick question I just crashed my meteor 65 pro and after that my radio said (the lite radio 3 pro) telemetry lost, and now I can't bind it anymore... 18-Apr-2024, 07:51 PM The Betafpv AIO uses a tiny fragile red enamel wire for the antenna (if you have the ELRS version). Make sure that wire is still there and not cut, crumpled, or touching any boards. There should also be an LED for the receiver, it should slow blink when not connected, and double-blink if you are in bind mode. It should be a green LED on the bottom of the AIO towards the front. Thanks, but there is no damage so I think that is not the problem... |
