How to connect Rush Tank Ultimate 2 to Omnibus F4 AIO
#1
Hey everyone,

I'm Icoryx from Germany and recently started building my first FPV Quad. I had already ordered most of the parts a few years ago but never actually started building. Now I got back into it and ordered the rest of the parts including the rush tank ultimate 2 and a camera. Upon connecting the VTX to the FC I got stuck because I'm not sure where I need to connect the 7-36V DC In. In another thread I read that you need to connect it to a 10V pad on the FC but as far as I can tell I do not have a 10V pad... Can I still use this VTX with this FC? On the user manual of the tank 2 it says "battery or 7V+ BEC". Does this mean I can connect it right to the Battery?

Here's the diagram for the FC so maybe you guys can tell me if it's possible or not:

Hopefully I don't need a different VTX or maybe even a whole new FC since this one is pretty outdated afaik.

Thanks in advance!

I don’t see any BEC other than 5v on the FC either so you will have to use vbatt or use an external BEC.

Next to the vbatt pad there’s a ground, video out, a video in, if your camera is 5v there’s a 5v pad in the same area to solder too.

If the camera has the same voltage range as the Tank powering them off the same vbatt and ground pad will prevent less noise and less OSD issues.
Once you get your vtx and camera wires soldered to the pads twist the wires together will help prevent video noise.

Be sure to use a capacitor on your main battery pads. It’ll help noise and protect components from voltage spikes.
You may need to use small capacitors on single ESC voltage pads but that comes later after maiden.
Tank is a good vtx and isn’t known to be super noisy.
