Help with corrupted blackbox log data
#1
Hi everyone, I have a very niche betaflight blackbox issues and, after trying everything I can think of, I am at a  complete loss as to how to resolve it.

I have a SPEEDYBEE F7 V3 FC with onboard 500MB blackbox flash storage chip. When trying to access the blackbox data in mass storage mode the storage contains a number of files and folders that are of with nonsensical file size (ie >500MB) and gibberish names (ie r[2],mot.or[). When attempting to delete these seemingly corrupted files I am presented with errors stating the file no longer exists, or the PC cannot verify the files location (see images). Furthermore, LOGS that I have recently recorded cannot be loaded or read by Blackbox explorer.
The blackbox storage mode was working well previously; these files have only recently popped into existence. I believe this may all be related to a FC – ESC connection issues (loose wire causing repeated ESC / motor disconnections and reconnections) that immediately preceded these troubles.

I have tried deleting the FREESPACE E File and the LOGs / LOG folder when in Mass storage mode.
I have reflashing the board and resetting betalight configuration. All with no success
I believe that somehow wiping the data from the chip would resolve this issue however my PC wont let me delete files that it thinks do not exist :/

Is there a way I can delete this file or somehow force reset the onboard data chip? Or if anyone has any suggestion on how to resolve this issue?  Any help would be appreciated!

This is a first time for me seeing something like this.

Did you try using the Betaflight> Blackbox> Erase flash option?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same exact issue. The files are even named the same thing

Edit: actually it looks like you can partition the volume to wipe it. It seems like for whatever reason the SpeedyBee v3 doesn't seem to have any kind of protections on writing over the flash's capacity and will just corrupt it when the blackbox is full.

Mine won’t even register that it exists anymore :/ I don’t think the button to force it into mass storage is even active / clickable. Thinking about having Amazon just replace it at this point
