Hello from Tennessee!
I have been flying RC Helis since 1982 (first heli: American Mantis which I still have!). Ive bought and sold several helis over the years; my current collection includes a couple 450's, a T-Rex 500 and 700, a squadron of Blade mCP X's and a Blade 130.
I got started with multirotors in the days of KK and NAZE controllers: not even sure what year it was!
I got out of the hobby for a few years until February of 22 when a friend gave me a Diatone 4" frame. well of course it needed a flight controller, esc, motors, VTX/camera, buzzer etc. Then I had this cool little quad but my Futaba TX seemed outdated and I needed FPV goggles... so a new RadioMaster TX16S 4-1 with a ELRS module, a TBS module and a 915Mhz ELRS module, and a set of DJI goggles (and of course I needed an analog module) was in order. A new GoPro got added to the list.
Now a year or so later I'm flying:
the 4" Diatone
Rekon 7 long range with T-Motor F7 full function FC flashed INAV, F55A ESC, ELRS, DJI O3, T-Motor F90 motors, powered by Li-Ion 6S packs.
FlyFish RC Volodor VD6
RacerX Twig
Odonata
LU5 (custom frame) 5"
Phisital 2"
Aikon Geek
My old DJI 550 on NAZA
a 10" (I designed and cut the frame back in the day... NAZA
Volt (another custom frame still on a CC3D FC!) getting updated to T-Motor stack
ECKS 5" (another custom frame on NAZE32 FC) not flight worthy at the time
an Analog 5" (not sure what frame, it was bought 2nd hand)
A FlyWoo Nano Hex is on the bench
A Cockroach brushed 1S
several micros from back in the day
I have several "Old School" frames from years ago in various stages including a couple DJI550 frames, one with aluminum arms (probably a 10"?) I have no idea what it is but has a cool rubber standoff camera pad. I have a unique folding aluminum tube arm (X500 i think its called) frame and spare parts!)...
My Wife bought me the largest Rolling tool box and the top box to go with it for all my "Quad Stuff" as she likes to call it.
That "free" Diatone frame last year turned out to be more expensive than I anticipated!
Oh! my grandson and I both have Traxxas trucks... mine is a Summit, his is an E-Revo.
well this turned out to be longer than I expected, but this is me.
