I have been bitten by the whole mini quad bug and wanted something better than the crappy DVR recording of my flights on my Airblade Assault 130.
What to do? Well a Runcam or mobius is far too heavy and takes up to much space on such a tiny frame...sooo
Out with an old pair of broken frame,Pivothead sunglasses that has a built in 1080/30fps 720/60fps camera and 8Gbs onboard memory.
Removed the camera, logicboard and battery and put them all together in heatshrink.
Result.
Now, while it does not look all that pretty, the video is so much better than a dvr recording, and the whole thing only weighs 22 grams, which still has my Airblade Assault sitting under 250 grams AUW. (Not that weight limit or registration applies to Australia...YET!)
It will record 1 hour of 1080p/30fps or 1 hour 10 minutes of 720p@60fps
Quick look at video quality @720p/60fps, slightly overcast day.
