Greetings from South Oz
#1
Hi folks, new to the forum so thought Id say a big hello from lovely South Australia.

Complete newbie to FPV, and have only flown Mavics (totally vanilla).  I've been researching the hell out of everything and think I've probably confused myself more than ever!

Glad to find the forum and will be sure to do a thorough search of topics before asking the inevitable noob questions, so apologies in advance if I do end up asking some!  Whistling

I have some gear on the way: iFlight Nazgul Evoque F5D, GEPRC Cinelog25, DJI V2 goggles, TBS Mambo Ethix controller (with crossfire module), but these will be shelved for a bit till I spend a bit of time in a simulator - I've downloaded all of the recommended ones.  Looking forward to getting started and appreciate any advice y'all can throw my way!

Cheers!  Wink

Welcome to the forum mate. Here's a list of good aussie fpv stores. Not in any particular order Smile

nextfpv.com.au
phaserfpv.com.au
buzfpv.com.au
risingsunfpv.com.au
fpvfaster.com.au
lethalfpv.com.au
mantisfpv.com.au

I've ordered from all of them. all are very good. next and phaser are prolly the largest with the biggest range. Risingsun does a lot of xclass stuff, which is expected of our northern (QLD) friends. Everything is a bit wild up there, lol.

Fairly complete vendors list. I always shuffle my orders amongst them to support local stores.

I have never tried risingsunfpv.

Adelaide also has customquads.com.au as an option especially since we click n collect locally.

Thanks mate!  Have checked most of them out.  We're a bit short on supply of a few things in Oz at the moment. @kafie1980 put me on to Ovonic batteries which is great!  No slow boat from China or the US!

I'm not in a hurry to dive in till I've done some decent sim time, as you guys have advised.  FPV is a different beast altogether compared to Mavics!  I grabbed gear when I could due to some pretty decent bundle specials.

Appreciate all the welcomes guys.  This place has a TON of info, so I'll be wading through topics for a while yet!  Wink

To add to the Aussie vendors list (because I hadn't seen these guys come up on Google until recently and they had some gear in stock that others didn't)

https://www.dronepartsgarage.com.au/

They are in Qld though, probably just as far as WA for you SA people Smile
