I recently crashed my Tinygo 4k and the battery connector broke. So I replaced it. Now the it won’t power up with batteries just through the USB.

First thing to do is take a close look the board- use a magnifying glass to make sure that there aren’t any solder balls or solder blobs. Take a good look at where you replaced the battery cable and make sure nothing is bridged. Can you post clear, up close photos of where you soldered the battery connector? Edit: also, if you’ve got a multimeter, put it in continuity mode and make sure it doesn’t beep when you touch probes to the main positive and negative battery cable pads. Dangerous operations. Disclaimer: I don’t know wtf I’m talking about. I wish I could get the smell of burnt electronics out of my nose. |
