On a road trip to Florida from Georgia I spent as much time as I could during the week flying in several spots. This is the footage from that flying! I am really happy how this video turned out and while I was upset a bit about music initially (I had other music planned that didn't work out) I think this music fits the feel even better At the end @8:14 I was having significant loss of video and all I could think about is how I needed to avoid the water! (Language advisory, I use the D-word in the first few seconds of the video :p ) Song 1: All we need Artist: ODESZA Ft Shy Girls Album: All we need (Remixes) Label: None Song 2: Pay no Mind Artist: Madeon Ft Passion Pit Album: Pay No Mind Label: Columbia originally (now managed by Universal?) carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 Posts: 1,504 Threads: 83 Likes Received: 944 in 654 posts Likes Given: 2,142 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 24 Yeah, your panic was definitely evident and well founded too! Nice flying and the chill-out music selection complimented it really well. Your flying is looking more and more locked in as well, but not as many super power burns as I have come to expect from you, I imagine the sound of your batteries un-puffing is a bit like a sigh of relief! Wow Carl!! Fabulous flying and awesome spots! Really like your "reverse" moves! (like FPV moonwalking!) Yeah... while the Go Pro caught the full view of it... it was sort of like "flash of sight here, OMG water there, correct and fly the other way, look I am headed towards trees! thank goodness! trees!... oooh and I landed on the ground so great! lol... As for the power... In this video because the areas are a little tighter than the CCRC field I am not as much full throttle but the one spot with the 3 trees I killed 2 batteries at... so I dunno about un-puffing... I think I just need the more serious batteries for how I fly is all and I should be good. The Lumeniers just don't quite cut it for me. If I was a "fly around and explore" kind of pilot that would be one thing... but I like to have full throttle punchouts that last 4-10 seconds sometimes and that just doesn't cut it with the motor/prop combo that I am using and batteries that aren't ready to hold up to hot abuse. I love when I can get the feel of moving backwards while flying it feels like I am getting the quad to do something it shouldn't be doing somehow carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 • Posts: 1,149 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 704 in 450 posts Likes Given: 1,189 Joined: Sep 2016 Reputation: 30 Pressed like after "yup - killed another battery" Posts: 1,590 Threads: 89 Likes Received: 1,283 in 768 posts Likes Given: 1,274 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 31 03-Sep-2017, 11:36 AM (This post was last modified: 03-Sep-2017, 11:57 AM by Carl.Vegas.) It's funny... at this point when I see one of the Lumeniers puffed... or actually before that now, when I feel it dying in the air (because I can clearly tell when it's happening now which is probably better and somewhat safer. I can control the landing and get it out of the air before it explodes) I don't get too upset about it... it's more like "OK, there goes another one... they're all going to die eventually [evil=voice]Bwaha ha ha ha ha ha[/evil]". carl.vegas Current Quads: Operational: Diatone GT2 200 In need of repair: Bumble Bee, tehStein, Slightly modified Vortex 250 Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 (03-Sep-2017, 11:36 AM)Carl.Vegas Wrote: ... they're all going to die eventually". you forgot to add "....Bwaahaahaa!"
