FrSky X-lite s won't connect to beta 65 pro 2
#1
Hello

I recently bought a FrSky X-lite s that I am going to be using on my Diatone r349, but I also want to use it with my beta 65 pro 2.
My issue is that I am unable to connect my beta 65 to my x-lite.

I have seen a video by Bardwell about accst 2.0 witch I'm guessing is the problem.
The module is version 1.1.0/1.1.3 EU and I don't see any number 2 so it might not be the issue?

Your FrSky X-Lite S is on the ACCST 1.x.x firmware so it should bind with the Beta65 Pro without any issues. Which version of the Beta65 Pro did you get and what binding procedure are you using?

Not sure what you mean by which version but it should have the "SPI Frsky LBT (Built-in)" and it has version 0.3.2 of emuflight on it.

My binding procedure is
1. Press the bind button on drone
2. Press bind or well [BND] then chose Ch1-8 and when that didn't work I pressed Ch9-16.
[BND] on the transmitter is "flashing" and the green led on the drone is blinking.

I don't think it is the drone since I can connect to it just fine with the controller that came with the betafpv advanced kit (the old one not the version 2).

That is the correct binding procedure. You can also you it through the CLI command line.

Can you please run both the "dump" and "diff all" commands in the Betaflight Configurator CLI tab and copy/paste the results back here.

OK, so the problem is that your Beta65 Pro 2 has an FCC receiver so you won't be able to bind to it in D16 mode from your FrSky X-Lite S with the region of it set to "EU". One workaround is to bind in D8 mode but unfortunately the X-Lite S doesn't support the D8 protocol. So you have two options:-
  1. Change the region of your X-Lite S from "FCC" to "LBT / EU". Keep in mind that doing this will affect binding to any EU-LBT receivers you may have because you cannot bind to EU-LBT receivers from an FCC transmitter (likewise you cannot bind to an FCC receiver from an EU-LBT transmitter). To change the region, see the article HERE on how to do that.

  2. Get an external multiprotocol module and bind to your Beta65 Pro 2 using that.
