FPV Build on Quadmula Siren F3 Split - Too big?
#1
Hey!

I'm pretty new with the FPV world!!!
So, for my FIRST fpv build, i want to start on a small 3inch frame but put in some powerfull components.
Not the best idea but this is what i would like =)

At the moment, i'm thinking of:
-IFlight - XING 2205 2450KV (or 3200kv?)
-SKYSTARS F722HD Pro Flight Controller & KM55A ESC FlyStack
-RadioMaster – Nano RP1 RP2 2.4ghz
-DJI O3
and a 1050 mAh 130C battery.

So my question is: Is this build not too big for a 3 inch drone?

Thx by advance!

Hello!

I had the same itch on my first build too and I think it's a great idea! I'm also looking to build a siren f3 split as well with similar spec components but I am looking at some 1507 4150kv motors because I am going with a 4s setup. If you're looking for an overpowered build I would definitely go with 3200kv if you are planning to run 6s. I would also recommend a smaller battery especially if you're going with 6s, something closer to 550 or 650 mah. Bacon ninja fav has a pretty good video showing off a very similar build on the same frame if you want to check it out:

good luck on your build!

Hey, that's the first video i saw that make me interested in small powerfull drones. He made a new one for his "updated" setup.

For the battery i'm divided... what about the flight time with a 650 compared with a 1050?

Oh nice yeah that was the same video that got me interested too. You’ll obviously get much more flight time on the 1050 and if I had to guess I’d say somewhere in the 7-8 minute range based on your flying habits. But personally I feel like that battery would be too big for that sized quad just because it’ll add so much more weight and would kinda kill your power to weight ratio and if you’re going for an overpowered build I would stick to the 650mah just to keep it as light and durable as possible.
