If anyone's got this FC, I'd really appreciate a heads up on what firmware it's supposed to be. Most product pages indicate a generic firmware. Butied on iFlights website, the product page says firmware is "IFF4_TWIN_G(IFRC)". That does NOT exist. There is: IFLIGHT_F405_AIO (IFRC) IFLIGHT_F405_TWING (IFRC) IFLIGHT_F411_PRO (IFRC) IFLIGHT_F411_TWING (IFRC) IFLIGHT_F722_TWING (IFRC) I tried IFLIGHT_F405_TWING (IFRC) and that does not recognize UART 1 for my Crossfire receiver. Also, it does not show UART5 for GPS. This is super annoying and I wish these companies would focus a bit more on their documentation rather than just doing whatever it takes to pump out new useless versions of their crap. iFlight, Diatone, all the same philosophy with these Chinese churn and burn types. • Posts: 21,294 Threads: 589 Likes Received: 8,982 in 6,647 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 "IFLIGHT_F405_TWING (IFRC)" is the correct target for your board. The GitHub contributor Linjieqiang renamed it to that from "IFF4_TWIN_G" just 4 days ago with a comment of "Unified naming style to make it better distinguished.". You can see the commit changes for that at the following link... https://github.com/betaflight/unified-ta...6a5dae66f8 I suggest you try re-flashing that target again with "Full chip erase" switched on. Don't forget to apply custom defaults when it asks you when you connect normally for the first time after flashing. If after that it's still not working then post a CLI dump and we will take a look at the settings to see what might be amiss. Until then we can't fly which is a bummer because it's been beautiful sunshine and absolutely perfect flying weather here this weekend but we're all just stuck in the house unable to go anywhere • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Yea technically here in California we're not allowed to go out unless you are an "essential worker," for groceries, medicine, hospital, or exercise. I think of it that I need to exercise my drone muscles lol. Seriously thanks though Snow. I think you were the one that found out a similar thing was going on with an issue I had with a Diatone Mamba F7 FC. • Posts: 1,312 Threads: 50 Likes Received: 832 in 504 posts Likes Given: 372 Joined: Jul 2018 Reputation: 51 (05-Apr-2020, 01:46 AM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: Good luck and have fun I think it's going to be at least another month, maybe two before they lift the lockdown here. Went out for my official go-outside-once-a-day-for-exercise run yesterday and went through the university campus here. It was deserted. Absolutely deserted. So much temptation to go out with my toothpick and do some 'thumb exercises' next time ... The ground is for dead people. • Posts: 21,294 Threads: 589 Likes Received: 8,982 in 6,647 posts Likes Given: 1,426 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 (05-Apr-2020, 10:03 AM)Banelle Wrote: Yeah, it's killing me. So much temptation to go out with my toothpick and do some 'thumb exercises' next time ... In theory we could potentially go out and have a quick blast, but you already see enough selfish people ruining it for others by going out to the parks to sunbathe with the health secretary now threatening to also impose a ban on any outdoor exercise at all if people continue to flout the rules. It's not just about not risking coming into contact with others, but if you do go out for something non-essential and have some kind of accident that requires a trip to the hospital (or an ambulance call-out), that then unnecessarily takes resources away from COVID-19 patients who actually in need medical attention to stop them dying. So I'm not going to be one of those people and will just take one for the team to ensure that everyone is safe and I don't play any part in someone's potential death. I thought about trying to fly my whoop my back garden, but it's a pretty small area so there's a risk of it ending up over the fence in a neighbours garden. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Yea I had the same idea this morning to fly around our gated area. Holy cow it's tough LOL. I thought for sure I was gonna crash into a house or garage or something. • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 I made the mistake of flying my BetaFPV 65 on 2S inside the house. It is just too fast. Might have to order some 1S. I fly my original Babyhawk on 2S inside the house without issue. And it is bigger. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 Just heard back from iFlight confirming what you guys already figured out lol. "the SucceX mini F4 V3 target has been updated to IFLIGHT_F405_TWING" Also attached the updated wiring diagram they sent me - yup UART5 is gone and just UART6 now for the GPS. Oops too big. Hope this online file sharing thing works ... https://filebin.net/htg9ifjxuszea9pb/Suc...t=lv6mwjqm • |
