My question regards my last post about motors not spinning up. I have a Holybro Kopis Mini 3. I have crashed it a few times and have totally disassembled it a few times for repairs. Well the original ESC bolts and rubber grommets were very small and I tore the rubber gummies so I had a selection of other mounting hardware and I replaced the small bolts and gummy shock absorbers with better (or so I Thought) bolts and rubber washers but thinking back they only protected against metal touching the outside of the ESC on not the inside hole. Could the metal from the M3 bolt be touching the inside hole of the ESC and grounding out the signal???

It shouldn't be grounding any signals. The copper inside the holes is typically part of the ground plane, IIRC. Except in some lunatic cases where it's VBAT. Or that pants-on-head crazy TBS stack that uses the bolts to route power around.
