Ah, OK. It sounds like the Vista is wired to UART2 on the iFlight Protek25 with UART2 to being configured for MSP (needed for the communication between the Vista and Betafligt). You can generally only configure one thing for a UART so SmartAudio also having been configured on UART2 would have been interfering with the MSP communications.

Thanks for the tip. I made the change to UART 2.  In the Telemetry Output column from SmartPort to Disabled and it worked. My telemetry values stay active when I arm.  Can't wait to go fly.

 I see the red "unblocked" message in the goggles.  
What does that mean?
