Diatone Roma F5 power kit - nebula vista kit installation
#1
I just bought my first 5" and decided on the Roma F5, but I was not able to get the full BNF.  So I went with the power kit, which is everything except for the DJI air unit. I wasn't able to get my hands on an air unit but I was able to get a nebula pro vista kit.  Can someone tell me how to best mount the antenna? The air unit has two antennas and the vista has one. Thanks!

My buddy originally got the Roma F5 analog kit and it came with this piece: https://www.getfpv.com/diatone-roma-f5-s...mount.html

You'd need a SMA to U.FL cable to give you a place to thread on a LHCP (DJI default polarity) antenna of your choice. Just pay attention to the SMA connectors as they come in RP SMA or not. Just make sure whichever you do, the antenna is the same. So either both RP-SMA or both regular SMA.

Or you could run the vista antenna through that but it would be flopping loose as it would need something like a grommet to fill the gap.

Thanks for the reply Servo.  Yeah, that part would be included with an analog setup.  The vista actually comes with a connector with 2 machine screws to secure the antenna just like an SMA connector, but the antenna simply goes through it.  On the DJI version, that 3d printed block houses a GPS unit instead.  I don't think I'll be using the GPS, so I may remove it and simply print this connector: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4436856

Now I need to get a longer camera cable, it's about 10mm too short  Dodgy
