Crossfire RFMD alway in "2"
#1
Hello all,
happy new year!

I am using crossfire and I noticed that My RFMD is always in "1", very rarely in "2"

I am in "2" only when the quad is right next to the radio.
Is that normal in some cases, such as a noisy environment?

I fly inside a big city, so I guess the radio environment must be noisy.

Happy New Year to you as well Big Grin

Yes, it could well be due to a noisy RF environment but the other thing to consider is the mounting and orientation of the antennas.
  1. What antenna are you using on the quad (Dipole or Immortal-T) and how/where do you have it mounted?
  2. What antenna are you using on the transmitter and what orientation is it in?
Photos might be useful.

Thanks for your reply!
I don’t have the quad with me now will send u pics tomorrow.

I use the small antenna on the TX (T shaped, not diamond) and the very small wire antenna (dipole) on the quad.

For now i only I did a range test with the quad antenna not attached on the quad, with the 2 poles spread out 90 degrees.

Hello,
just prepared a video with a range test.
I hope this clarifies my issue.
Maybe somebody has an idea of what I should do?

Hello everybody!
Just to give you an update, I solved my issue.
I visited TBS ( I live in HK ) and they were very helpful.
It turned out the antenna connector inside the micro RX was broken.
The people from TBS gave me a new RX.
Pb solved!!

Cheers.
