Please dont !!!!!!!!
Today i discovered what with hindsight is the most obvious thing in fpv.
DONT PUT ANYTHING MAGNETIC NEAR SENSITIVE ELECTRONICS / SENSORS ETC .
I took it off all my quads.
Apparently it was silently and very specificaly affecting my accelerometer.
I noticed it some time ago but ignored as fly acro only recently , but now when i had to find my exact hover point in angle and trim perfectly for BF 4.4 RTH features it came back in view. It uses angle mode during RTH phases so has to work perfect.
When i lift off after perfect trim , the accelerometer started drifting incrementally the longer it was in the air, untill at a certain point i had to continuously actively correct with the gimbals and you could see the quad actualy tilting when it should be level. Land and liftoff and it starts from the beginning, so perfect level trim that gradualy shifts.
Blackbox logging showed that everything was normal , no crazy rc thing and not some crazy pid thing (like iterm windup) and i was scratching my head like a madman. Reading up a lot on the net about soft mounting the fc (was already done) and dropping a parameter for the acc filter cutoff to 1hz (helped onl a little) .
Then this morning while redoing the softmount and making sure nothing was touched / pressed etc ,i looked at the usb magnetic plug and it hit me. As i had this issue only on quads that had the plug installed. Daaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnn
Hard to find and diagnose but after the fact stupidly logical.
