Has anyone actually gotten these two updated, flashed and bound together? I'm using ExpressLSR configurator and a binding phrase to flash the receiver which went smoothly. The Commando 8 however is a nightmare. It failed to flash everytime until I put everything on wifi mode and then is passed. Made the new .lua file and put it in the corrent folder in the radios sd card and they still won't bind. Trying to get e-mail help from iFlight in China is an exercise in shear frustration.

Assuming you used the same binding phrase for both the ELRS RX and TX the binding should be automatic.

Well nothing worked on the Commando 8 and ExpressLRS. It failed to configure every time. They must have sold me a bad radio. Besides it felt like a gamebox toy and I hated it. I bought a Radiomaster TX16S Max with an AXIS Thor external ELRS module and programmed the module with ExpressLRS. It bound using the binding phrase as soon as I activated the external module for my model. I'm flying. Next, Betaflight rates and mode setting. But at least the damn thing flies.

Now I can see it the Chimera7 Pro is everything people say it is.

You might have just received a bad Commando 8. I hope iFlight offered you a refund/return.
