My 3 inch drone on 3s 550mah batteries flies very well but does say low voltage on every rapid ascent. Is it possible to change this in bf without risking the lipo life? When I get land now warning after about 3 minutes the lipo is usually on 25 % but occasionally on 40 %

Under BF battery tab, you can change the warning call voltage.

Can't really do much about the sag causing warnings unless you want to give up sane warning levels for when it's actually low. That's your call though.

on every rapid ascend sounds overpropped or not matching battery, maybe you should improve efficiemcy rater than adjust the warning level

what parts do you use?
