4 Well, as luck would have it, I just fried my ToolkitRC M4Q xt-30. You know what's just about the size of an xt-60 connector? The well-worn 120 vac plug. I was caught up in thought and pop!
I need a 2S-4S (or better) charging solution now. The M4Q worked pretty well for me actually... What should I be looking at as a replacement? Is there a higher quality equivalent? There doesn't seem to be much like it around.
I generally use 120 vac. Based on what I'm seeing on the gear sites, it seems most people use a higher power, 1 or 2 place charger with a parallel charging board?
What are you guys using to charge xt-30 batteries? Discharge?

4 Can anyone give me some pros/cons for:
1. Hota D6 Pro + fancy balance board
-vs-
2. Inexpensive bench supply + Hota F6 1S-6S 4 channel charger
#1 Looks like a pretty tried and true solution... #2 might be more flexible?

6 04-Dec-2023, 12:14 AM (This post was last modified: 04-Dec-2023, 12:23 AM by QuadFlyer68.) I use older stuff like this from the heli days:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/235102164113?ch...8eEALw_wcB I buy whatever main charging and balance cables (usually for 6x parallel charging) at places like BuddyRC or Progressive RC.
I have two 350w supplies, 3 ichargers, a couple hobby king chargers and an old ISDT model. Also a couple 80W Ac/Dc chargers. All basically that same 4 button & 2 row LCD design. And a few drawers of all kinds of cables - many custom that I made.
The charger landscape has definitely changed a lot. It’s like a sub-hobby … I wonder what I would get today if I needed one (?)
I’ve found that all my chargers that were marginally adequate for the helis are more than capable for quads - but I’m not doing anything 6S anymore.

4 Well, I got impatient. I figured the Hota D6 Pro + charging board was good enough for now.
Hmm. I might have an old 2S-4S charger buried around here somewhere...

31 It looks like you already got something but for anyone else looking, I have had a iMax B6 charger (2S to 6S) for a few years now and it has worked perfectly...

41 I have a B6 like Brett, several SkyRC e455 and e3 balance chargers.
I admit to hating having to push buttons to get stuff to charge. The e3 is the best charger I have if all I need are 2S and 3S. Plug and play, ie, plug a lipo in and unplug when the lights are green. The e455 is the same but for 2-4S.
Cost wise the B6 cost the most. I got the other three for the total cost of the B6. The B6 is more useful when I'm charging in my van or in someone else's car. I can plug it into a 12v socket and balance charge a bunch of lipos as I head to a site.
But ultimately i am lazy and I just want to plug things in and unplug them 15 mins later. I don't want to have to push buttons loads of times each time I want to charge a pack.
