In the other discussion HERE we talked about HD quality FPV cams and the likelyhood they might never be developed. Well, then I saw the below video of the Cadxx Turtle V2. And although it's not HD video, it is very very good. This is what all FPV cams image quality should look like. But it come with a price. Anyone flying with this cam? How do you like it? Issues? I was told on the Long Range page that the goggle image is as good as the recorded image, is that true? Oscar, any interest in doing a test on this cam system? Start the video at about 48 seconds as there is a long delay before the flight. Latency doesn't look that bad, at an average of about 25ms.....some have flown with it though and feel the latency is higher than that, perhaps in the 40ms range. • Posts: 21,271 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,970 in 6,638 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 788 I have a Caddx Turtle V2 sitting in a box at home ready to go on my Acrobrat...but I've not even started building it yet, so I will give you my feedback this time next year once it's completed Based on all the reviews I watched / read before I got it, it seemed to be the best "split" camera available when I bought it back in December. I thought RENO had one on his Acrobrat but I just looked and he appears to have put the V1 on his. The analog SD image quality in goggles will never be as good as the footage recorded in HD on the onboard DVR, but if you have some decent screens in your goggles then there may be a perception that the image quality is "as good" as the recorded fottage even if the reality is that it's not. Keep in mind that the new Foxeer Mix has just been released. Albert Kim has done a hands-on review but I've not had chance to watch any of his videos on it yet, so I'm not sure what his verdict actually is. • Posts: 3,533 Threads: 265 Likes Received: 2,610 in 1,545 posts Likes Given: 3,893 Joined: Feb 2018 Reputation: 78 (21-Jan-2019, 06:51 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: I have a Caddx Turtle V2 sitting in a box at home ready to go on my Acrobrat...but I've not even started building it yet, so I will give you my feedback this time next year once it's completed Based on all the reviews I watched / read before I got it, it seemed to be the best "split" camera available when I bought it back in December. I will definitely wait, as I'm a Foxeer fan at this point. In reality, I don't need HD quality, but I need better than anything RunCam makes, (3 different RunCam models and they are all ) and perferably better than the Foxeer Monster, even though the Monster is pretty good. Maybe the Falkor is good enough, I don't know. I'm even willing to give up a little in latency to get a real good image, i.e. 40ms latency would be tolerable. • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 I don't think the issue is what the camera can send for recording. It is more what you see in your goggles. I don't believe that you are seeing in goggles is what you have posted in your video. If what you see is in the video you posted, then I am buying one right away. Otherwise, it is no different than the Runcam Split. • Posts: 3,533 Threads: 265 Likes Received: 2,610 in 1,545 posts Likes Given: 3,893 Joined: Feb 2018 Reputation: 78 (21-Jan-2019, 10:28 PM)voodoo614 Wrote: I don't think the issue is what the camera can send for recording. I was able to talk to someone on another page and she confirmed I was fibbed too. Soooo, I'm back to the Falkor as my savior I guess. • Posts: 110 Threads: 30 Likes Received: 11 in 8 posts Likes Given: 49 Joined: Jun 2021 Reputation: 0 bought an UR85 HD...
