Board Identification
#1
I am new getting into drones. My dad previously had a drone and flight board, but the board is not coded and I do not know what type of board I have.
Any help in identifying the board is much appreciated, or if I should just buy a new board.

Some clearer pictures with better lighting would help significantly with identifying the board.

The majority of modern boards don’t use pin connectors (unless they’re for a wing rather than a quad).

With clearer, well lit photos, we can tell you if the board that is still supported by betaflight. If it’s not, it can still be used with an older version of betaflight or inav- but you may be more limited in what you can do with it. It might also be harder to find useful/needed information about it.

Those are better. I can’t see any markings on it that would help identify it, so figuring out which target to flash could be a challenge.

That chip with all the pins (top right in the first pic, closer to the centerpiece) should have a bunch of letters and numbers on it. Most likely starting with “stm32….” If what follows that stm32 is f4 or higher, you could try installing the latest version of betaflight configurator, going into dfu mode and seeing if it can auto detect the correct target.

If this will be your first quad, unless you like a challenge, you may be better off getting a newer board and coming back to this one once you’ve had some more experience.

It’s possible that someone else will come along and be able to identify the board by sight without markings.

It's an old Naze32 FC. Just Google that FC and you will find a load of information for it.
