Using old FC as dev board

I know it's possible, but is anyone here familiar with how to use an old F3 (SP Racing) as a dev board? I'm specifically after using the accelerometer, even if I had to use a separate MCU to utilize it. I'm only familiar with Arduino/AVR, not so much with STMcube, beyond firmware changes with ST-Link, so that's what I meant about using separate MCU if need be.

I know it's probably a long shot, but I've seen how helpful this forum community can be, so thought I'd ask. Thanks for any responses.

The accelerometer data should be available via MSP which is how the Betaflight Configurator gets this data.

Another option will be via the RC link telemetry.

But what exactly is your intention?
