So I'm not entirely sure that the slow delivery times is still the case with AliExpress. It definitely used to be back in the day but maybe things have now improved somewhat. It probably also depends on the seller you buy from. A lot of that delay used to be the time it actually took the seller to process and put your order in the post before it even entered the shipping network. I guess I'll find out as I start placing more orders through them. • Posts: 668 Threads: 31 Likes Received: 208 in 158 posts Likes Given: 95 Joined: Feb 2019 Reputation: 14 (29-Sep-2020, 12:26 PM)SnowLeopardFPV Wrote: I placed two AliExpress orders in the last couple of months and they both arrived within 3 weeks which is quicker than some Banggood orders have taken. Just talking from my experience here, I have some hundreds of orders on AliExpress, most of them inexpensive products and then the reason for slow delivery times. If you go to more expensive stuff then you'll get a sort of priority mail type of order and maybe that is were you get the 3 week delivery. For consumables and low price stuff the time will go up being 4 to 5 week normal. Just my opinion but for me it seems that delivery times are less consistent on AliExpress but then again, I use it more often then Banggood because pros vs cons. I'm just trying to prepare you for that waiting time, since you came from this situation right now. • Posts: 21,400 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,029 in 6,683 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 795 I just had a look through my AliExpress order history. I actually made three orders with them since May this year. I ordered some mini replacement LiPos (10 GBP) for the self-powered buzzers I already have, some LiPo Safe bags (20 GBP), and an Ethix V2 goggle strap (14 GBP) for these DJI goggles that I don't even have yet. The first two orders arrived in just under 3 weeks each, and the goggle strap arrived in just under 2 weeks. The previous order I made before that was way back in March 2019 although I don't remember how long that took but I'm sure it was more than a month. I just placed an order for a cheap item (20x XT60 protection caps) costing only 6 GBP including shipping, so it will be interesting to see how long that takes to get here. So that's now 6 GBP already denied to Banggood. • Posts: 863 Threads: 43 Likes Received: 286 in 202 posts Likes Given: 12 Joined: Nov 2018 Reputation: 5 People, QUIT USING THEM!!!! Deal I have always had my concerns or cautions about ordering from Banggood, so I have never used them. NOW, I am glad that I have kept to that opinion. Just isn't worth it for ME. • Posts: 21,400 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,029 in 6,683 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 795 29-Sep-2020, 05:09 PM (This post was last modified: 29-Sep-2020, 05:18 PM by SnowLeopardFPV.) OMFG IS THIS IS SOME KIND OF JOKE or WHAT??? I've still had no response from my email to Banggood that I sent 18 hours ago. My replacement goggles were originally listed in my order history with a status of "Estimated to ship before October 12 2020" which is the 3 week wait for re-stocking that Banggood specified in their emails to me. I've just looked again at the details and the order status is now showing as "Estimated to ship before November 16 2020". And on the product listing listing page HERE is also showing a dispatch date of November 16. WTF is that??? My blood is literally boiling right now. Sorry, but Banggood are a COMPLETE AND INCOMPETENT JOKE of a company. Are they now seriously expecting me to wait an additional 4 weeks on top of the 6-7 weeks they already told me I would need to wait for a replacement. Some heads need to start rolling. • Posts: 188 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 53 in 46 posts Likes Given: 75 Joined: Jun 2020 Reputation: 5 Speechless. Edit Reason: Additional info added. ) I'm not sure if you read any of the previous posts but there seems to be a high chance that PayPal will just close the case without any further recourse unless I suck up to Banggood's insulting offer of a $20 refund and then continue to wait for eternity to get replacement goggles. I've requested that Banggood refund me 450 GBP for the missing goggles to try and put an end all of this. I'll give them until the 24 hour deadline to respond and then I guess I'll be left with no other option but to to start a PayPal claim against them. By doing that however, I run the risk of potentially losing all of the money I paid for the goggles. Any shipping insurance you voluntarily pay to try and cover yourself is clearly also just a SCAM to get more money out of you for nothing. I know that some people are probably sick of reading this thread and I apologise for that, but I feel that it's important to continue to publicise and show evidence of the deplorable and unethical tactics that Banggood employ, and how little they really care about their customers once they have your money. New people and guests visit this forum every day so they need to see with their own eyes how Banggood treat their customers. In 99% cases I´ve ordered small and cheap things. I had only one problem that wasn´t solved in my satisfaction. Seller sent me a fake "20 000 mah powerbank with solar charging". I refused to guess with the seller and left him 15$. In other cases when I raised a dispute ( about 10 times?? ) I get solved it to my satisfation. The delivery time varies from the seller. Sometimes I get the order in 15 days, sometimes in 3 months and even longer. During covid time I´ve received many things for free because the buyer protection time run out, I raised a dispute and seller refunded the money. Sometimes I received a refund and next week the order arrived. Right now I am waiting for refund on the Banggood. I´ve order a new Mamba stack from UK storage. Seller sent it without tracking and package get lost. Support on the live chat told me to wait another 40 days and after that I´ll receive a full refund. So I must wait too. But it´s "only" 100$ • Posts: 21,400 Threads: 594 Likes Received: 9,029 in 6,683 posts Likes Given: 1,428 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 795 (29-Sep-2020, 07:04 PM)ericz Wrote: Right now I am waiting for refund on the Banggood. I would just raise a PayPal dispute now and demand a refund. Don't wait the 40 days. Start the PayPal dispute clock ticking right away because Banggood will then have a limited time to either re-send the goods or refund your money. If you wait for Banggood to voluntarily refund your money, they will keep you waiting for at least 3 or 4 weeks before they actually put it back into your bank account. A PayPal dispute should expedite the refund timeline. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 29-Sep-2020, 07:48 PM (This post was last modified: 29-Sep-2020, 09:51 PM by the.ronin.) I still haven't received a reply from Banggood and it's now been nearly 24 hours since I sent them my last email, so it looks like they've just resorted to giving me the silent treatment because I'm not rolling over and accepting their "extremely generous" $20 offer to wait around for another 11-12 weeks before I get a replacement of the product that their supply chain personnel stole from my parcel. It's clear that no-one in that despicable company is man enough to take any accountability or responsibility. I know what you mean about the weather. Banggood have now single handedly ruined any aspirations I had of flying a digital equipped quad this year before winter here kicks in and the flying season ends. I've pretty much lost any enthusiasm I had for building my new 6S 5" quad anyway. It will probably now just end up going on the backburner until sometime next year. I hope this thread alone has lost Banggood some custom and has done some damage to their reputation now that people can see them in their true colours. • Posts: 122 Threads: 9 Likes Received: 6 in 6 posts Likes Given: 22 Joined: Apr 2020 Reputation: 1 I know how you feel. I´ve started FPV seriously this year and spent about 3 months waiting for the parts after crashes or frying . I can´t completely avoid buying on the Ali and Bangg. As you wrote before - the local sellers have very limited offer. I don´t speak about the prices. For example I can buy here a Tattu 6s 1400mAh lipo or 2 pieces for the same price from Ali. Have you got a photos of your new 6S build? • |
