***BEWARE*** Banggood Package Contents STOLEN / EMPTY BOX

Oh thanks for the heads up! looks like in 2015 they split again, and they made an agreement until 2020, which has now been revised until 2023, so I think ebay is still a bit of special treatment with paypal but maybe not as much.

if they were I'd be screwed cuz i owe ebay something I don't believe I should owe and they keep emailing me. I've tried to ask whatit's about etc but it's impossible to get anyone since the carona........ I sold one thing for 140$, I only got 120$ for it because of fees, and they're telling me I owe them 17$ in fees..... So I cut my pay pal and just ignored it, if they own paypal then.... whoops. ;D

Maybe you should try to get a refund and wait for this instead (if rumors are true)..

That was covered on JB's livestream but it's exactly that. Just a rumour that all seems to have stemmed from that one single source. I checked around and loads of vendors still seem to have plenty of stock. It's also quite quite likely that any new version would just be a refresh (i.e. v1.5) of what they already have rather than a complete redesign. Maybe native HDMI out (that I don't really care about), possibly OLED screens (which would significantly increase the price), and maybe a few other minor tweaks. If the rumour is true then DJI will highly likely try to offload any remaining stock of their current goggles in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, so if we don't see any discounts on the current goggles during those sales then a V2 goggle is probably still some time away from being released, if one even exists that is. We nearly always see some kind of leaked info and obfuscated images from a known source before a new DJI product comes out, but we've seen nothing so far other than that single post from a random RCG member.

I lost the will to live with emailing Banggood because it's like flogging a dead horse, so I've ceased all further communication with them and they won't be getting any more of my money. All the enthusiasm and excitement I originally had about switching to digital has now gone and I almost don't feel like I really care any more. Depending on what happens I could just sell the goggles on and still get any money back that I paid for them, although that's not much of a consolation after a 4-5 month wait.

EDIT: It might seem counter-productive to the way I was planning to head with digital, but I recently resurrected the build of a 3" analogue quad that I started more than 1.5 years ago and which then just sat on the shelf gathering dust in an incomplete state. I just ordered a Caddx Tarsier V2 for it from AliExpress which arrived in only 12 days and am currently in the process of building that up to give me a bit of focus on something. I will start a new build thread for that soon.

how is the status, still waiting for the goggle?

Yes, I finally got the goggles, more than 5 months after I paid B**g***d $700 of my money, and just as it looks like V2 of the goggles are probably going to appear in January. I haven't had time to do anything with them yet, plus it's lockdown here and the weather is pretty abysmal so I doubt I will be doing any flying with them until maybe February next year.

I can't even leave a bad review on their website anymore because they've stopped selling the goggle sets. I still intend to put a review on TrustPilot but I was also going to put one on the product listing page to warn other buyers. Unfortunately that opportunity now appears to have been lost.

B**g***d won't be getting another penny of my money and they can now f*** right off. Once the warranty period is over I will be closing my B**g***d account, not that any warranty they offer is worth jack sh*t anyway. AliExpress is now getting my money if I have to buy stuff from China with payment made by credit card only.

I've unsubscribed from all B**g***d emails but they continue to send me SPAM every single day even though I have opted out of all email communication. I sent them a complaint about it more than once but they have just ignored that because I still keep getting at least one or two SPAM emails from then in my inbox each day. Of course I could just filter anything from them into my junk mail box but that's not the point. I've completely opted out of all email communication so they shouldn't be sending me anything at all. So on top of all that I already went through, it looks like I will now also be reporting them for breach of GDPR.

Yes their unsubscribe is fake. GDPR reporting will not affect them since they're based in China Sad

I think the best would be revenge spam ... setup an automation that will send 10 emails to their customer service for each one you receive Wink

Well I expect everybody is pleased to hear that you finally received the goggles.   Smile

It must have been a relief, when you opened the box and checked that all was OK.

I actually took loads of photos before I opened the box including with the parcel on the scales before I opened it. Then I set up the video camera and actually recorded me opening the box just in case there were any issues. Thankfully there were none. It's complete nonsense that I even had to do that. When did you ever buy something from Amazon and then have to go through the hassle of doing all that whenever you received a parcel? The answer is never. That's because they actually have a proper customer care service, unlike B**g***d who have ZERO customer service unless it suits them.

I will continue bashing B**g***d on this forum and do my best to make sure they lose as many sales as I can.

I'm more relieved than anything else that I didn't end up losing a ton of money over this whole charade. When you make a purchase from a company, relief that you actually end up getting what you paid for should be the last thing on your mind.

The joke now is that after having had to wait wait 5 months for my goggles which I now won't be able to use until next year when Winter is over, I now have a pair of what are very soon going to become the "old version" goggles which DJI have already ceased production of. This has now been confirmed by two separate sources (both Phaser FPV and GEPRC).

Do you think that having to continually complain to B**g***d over a 5 month period with them just stringing the whole situation out and delaying for time is an acceptable outcome? I would rather have just been given my money back at the beginning instead of having had to go through all of this BS.

If people insist on continuing to purchase stuff from B**g***d then I hope they eventually end up getting burnt in the same way. It will probably only be then that people will wake up and smell the coffee, and realise that B**g***d really don't give a  Poop about their customers.

Hi Snow,

No, I don't think that Banggood's  procedures or tactics are acceptable.  Angry
I will never purchase anything from them and I don't give them recommendations.  Angry

I was, however, happy that you did get your goggles (rather than just losing your money).   Smile
Merely, that your persistence paid off in the end. Had you just given up, you might be out the money and the goggles.  Wink

Enjoy that new eyewear  Smile  High Five

I wouldn't be too bummed about having the old model of goggles, though I understand your frustration. But how many times have you bought the "new" version of something only to find out it wasn't that much better, only more expensive? More than once, I bet. At least that is my experience.

Yes, you're right. It is more a principal of the appalling way that B**g***d's customer service treated me and how they dealt with this whole situation which took 5 months for them to resolve. I should have been flying with all this new digital gear 4 months ago, then I wouldn't feel so aggrieved that I ended up receiving a product that I paid for 5 months ago just as a new version is about to be released.

If the new V2 goggles end up just being a "refresh" of the current ones with OLED screens and maybe HDMI out then I won't be too upset because I don't care for HDMI out (I only ever fly alone) and for the extra cost OLED screens would add to the cost of the current V1 goggles, for me those features wouldn't be worth paying another $100+ for.

If the goggles that are included with the DJI FPV Drone are actually the V2's, then it shows that DJI have kept the exact same form factor and just updated the internals which is going to disappoint a lot of people who were waiting for DJI to release slimmer form factor FPV goggles which didn't make them look like an alien.
