Barometer drift
#1
I've fitted bmp280 barometers to 2 of my drones. One is a Matek 411 mini FC, the other a Matek 722 mini FC.
Both running Betaflight 3.5.6. They both appear to drift to negative figures over a couple of minutes of flight. Any ideas?

Try covering the barometer with some foam. Air flow can affect the accuracy of the readings, especially when it's windy.

I think barometers on FCs just aren't very accurate.

If you sit your quad on the bench and arm it (props off obviously), does the barometer value in the OSD of your goggles still drift into negative figures? Mine does, which means the issue isn't being caused by any type of air flow.

Both are coved with foam and tucked in behind the cameras behind the side plates. I was sorting out some VTX issues and it was still drifting on the bench.

Oscar - got the FX3 ultimate in the 3" and VTX03S in the 2.5" now. No more hunting in the grass!
