Air unit o3 - throttle punch video loss
#1
Hey guys -

I was flying and my quad all of a sudden did a 2 second throttle punch and desynced. After that, any time I hit the throttle, I get a throttle punch, desync, and video loss

My buddy told me he had the same issue and it's related to the o3 air unit. He said he had to move the Air Unit's power wire from his FC's 9v regulator onto the esc battery power pad

I moved the wire from my 9v regulator to a BAT pad and it worked for a while, but now it's having the same issue as before.

Why is it doing this?

Will my air unit o3 be safe if powered direct from the power lead on the esc on 6s? I know it's rated for 26v but will a voltage spike end up blowing up my air unit?

Thanks for the help

I'd definitely power your O3 from a BEC just for the peace of mind. Voltage spikes from ESC on 6S can be deadly.
It’s also important to make sure your BEC can handle 17W-18W at least just to be safe (e.g. 2A at 9V).
And are you using a low ESR capacitor at your ESC power input? If it's just a small one maybe use a bigger one for extra filtering e.g. 1000uF.

Okay awesome, just ordered some BECs

Is this an issue you guys have heard of?

When he first said it was the air unit I thought he had to be wrong. But once I moved from 9v to the BAT pad, it worked fine for several days before the issue started again
