10 minute flight time
#1
I was suprised to get a ten minute flight out of my quad yesterday evening.

Granted I was just easy cruising climbing up to altitude every now and then.  I was beginning to think my OSD voltage was wrong because of how long I was flying.

My setup on a x210 frame; Emax RS2205 2300kv, Lumenier Opto pro 20a, HQ 5x4.3x3, Tattu 4s 1300 75c, Omnibus F3 FC.

I landed with 3.73 per cell.

Probably could have squeezed another minute or two out of it.

Side note, I tried this with the new EMAX Avan props and barely got 4 mins. They are FAST props but eat batteries.

10mins?! were you hovering ? LOL
to check your OSD, simply get 2 batteries of different voltage e.g. 15V, 16V, and plug them into your quad, write down the voltages on the OSD, and check them again with a multimeter to verify Smile

but 10mins flight time is really good..

I switched one of my rigs over to a 6 inch. RealAcc X6R, HQ 6030 Bi-Blade, OG Red Bottoms 2300kv, 20amp little bees, Omnibus F3, Tattue 1300 4s 75c. These 6 inch bi-blades are consistantly giving me well over 9 minute flight times. This is with typical freestyle, some punch outs, rolls, flips etc.

I really love the feel of this 6 inch on the bi-blades. Thrust is good, very similar to HQ 5x4x3.

I can't even imagine what 10 minutes would feel like... I'd think after a while I'd have problems with not blinking like I do when I fly simulators lol...

That is crazy long flight time!

Be careful though, i broke the standard hq6030 midflight when i did a backflip while flying full speed forward...

Though, your quad is probably lighter than mine was back then, so maybe it's ok.

they are bendy, I was going to look into a little more robust props.

It is strange, lol.  I'm surprised every time.  I come down check the batters and they are right at 3.75ish per cell.

I've just had a bag of the EMax Avan .65 props delivered. Something tells me that rather than 10 minute flight time, I might be joining Carl.Vegas in the LiPo Killer club!

I tried a set of those out on my other build and took them right off after bout 1 min. Everything was too hot to touch. Luckily it all survived. Probably just my specific set up.

my longest flight was 12 mintues on 5" props... yet it was done loooong time ago on 3s battery..
now 4s 1300 - 1500 lasts for 2-3 minutes tops...
All the best

I get 10min flight time on my 110 micro if I just cruise around. I get longer flight time cruising than I do hovering by like a minute. I guess less of a load while traveling or something. But usually only 4-5mins ripping around like usual.

I was tuned into one of my flying buddies from my home park's channel and was already in shock when he was at like 5 minutes with his Wizard 220... then he kept going for at least another 3 or 4 minutes... I guess he was flying a 4s 1800 mAh battery and he really was just flying in big calm circles... but still... it was wild to see him fly that long before his beeper went off.

He probably discharged more than I would as I tend to land at a storage charge when I can but still. It was impressive!
