SG1602 stopped working
#1
Bought this from BG 25 days ago.
Yesterday as it was being used by my little son on flat asphalt it just stopped. Thought the battery was drained but no.

LEDs don't turn on nor the trasmitter binds anymore. Batt voltage still at 4.1V.

With multimeter measured same voltage also at the little ON/OFF button.

The red plastic receiver/ESC appears to be hot glued to the car's bottom. Connectors from on/off button, motor wires and servo connector all seem properly fitted.

Seems this receiver died?

What else can I try?

Tried writing to BG for a warranty but they ask for a photo of the package and the SKU which I've thrown away 25 days ago Sad

Thank you

Aw sorry Harry, should have deleted this post. For reasons I do not understand the RC Car stopped working altogether and nothing would revive it, but the day after I tried again, with the same batteries, receiver, transmitter and much to my surprise the car turned on and worked as usual with the trasnsmitter.

Go guess ... since then my little kid played with it another couple of times apparently without any problems.

Thanks for caring.

PS URL was https://www.banggood.com/SG-1602-2_4G-1-...ehouse=USA

Hi Robert,

No worries. That is a really cool looking car  Cool

Although we have bought a couple of "cheap" {like $30}  RC cars for our grandson, I hadn't really considered it for me. On the other hand, you just never know.  Wink   I have only recently discovered this section. Hmmm  Thinking

Have Fun
Harry

Harry

I bought it for my 8 yr old Smile

But, especially on the beach, it is immensely  fun for this old one too Smile
