Question is, what does it do for you. I am a form follows function type of guy. If it don't perform, I care less what it looks like. Plus, the frame is too heavy for my liking. I also think that the motor bell housing is too close to the vertical arm. If I had that frame, I would either flip the frame, or mount the motors on the bottom so the arm didn't get in the way. To me, that is just a bad design element which could easily have been remedied early on. I am surprised no one caught that. Anyway, it is nice to look at. You could hang it on the wall as a decoration. • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 (01-Apr-2021, 02:09 AM)iFly4rotors Wrote: Looking sexy is one thing, but puttin' out is another. But man when you are worrying about your motors getting too hot and needing a lc filter, that's kinda no bueno. • Posts: 5,882 Threads: 47 Likes Received: 2,779 in 2,241 posts Likes Given: 7,658 Joined: Jul 2019 Reputation: 97 Hi Ronin, Well, I am shy and bashful, you know I don't think you were too harsh. Man, they need to know that the frame isn't the performer that they thought it was. Personally, I always had my doubts. There were a thing or two that I didn't really like about it. I never liked that vertical arm sitting that close to the motor bell housing. In fact, it actually limits the size of motors that you can run on that frame. {or maybe that was the intent} I was curious to see how it actually did in a real life build. I thought about flipping the frame or just making it a "pusher" so the arm wouldn't interfere with the motors. Now, if they had designed it right, you would be able to flip the arms either way. Just sayin'... • Posts: 21,279 Threads: 587 Likes Received: 8,971 in 6,639 posts Likes Given: 1,425 Joined: Jun 2018 Reputation: 789 01-Apr-2021, 10:54 AM (This post was last modified: 01-Apr-2021, 01:08 PM by SnowLeopardFPV. Edit Reason: Typo corrections. ) I haven't seen hardly any videos of this frame flying, and only one from a mainstream reviewer (Drainman). So this frame is either too expensive for most people or it is causing too many problems and/or taking too much time getting it to fly properly. It's a nice looking frame, but I can think of better things to spend $170 on. • |
