Yaw unexpectedly "jumps" to the right on my Taranis X-Lite Pro

Great to see you decided to dive into it. Lucky the issue seemed to be that wire getting stuck or rubbing the dampening system.

Looking at your video, the sensor for throttle movement is marked in blue where as the sensor for yaw is marked in red:

The wire was definitely causing issue with the throttle as we can see if your video.

But what I did not see in the video was yaw movement. But I have an assumption that at some point when the wire would get stuck during lowering the throttle that it would probably put strain on the yaw sensor connector and cause an abrupt yaw movement.

I didn't show the yaw movement because moving the stick in that direction wouldn't cause any wire to move (only the throttle sensor wire is moving along with the gimbal).

In this video at 02:10 you can see what I mean:

But if you move the throttle then it would tension that wire which is related to yaw movement and probably affect the connect causing a sudden surge in yaw movement.

Have you tried it on the simulator now? If it appears to be ok in the sim then it should be ok on a real quad.

I tried for about a hour and it seemed to be working properly; I'll keep testing it in the sim in the next days and I'll let you know.

Anyway, the stick feel has got better because I don't feel the click anymore and the gimbal seems more fluid.

After more Liftoff sessions, the issue seems to be gone... !
