Xracer F303 Osd and Rssi connection
#1
HI can anybody help me with the XRacer F303 connection diagram?

Where do I put the RX and TX from minimosd with ZMR 250 PDB board to Xracer F303?
And how do I connect the frysky rssi to the Xracer?
What is the Uart 1 and 2 connection for?

Thanks for the help.

Hi Steven

I have not used mine because my board died during initial setup... but this is what i would have done.

to connect the minimosd to Xracer, I would probably use UART2 (leaving UART1 to USB connection)
To activate UART2 for this purpose, go to cleanflight, ports tab, and check "MSP" on UART2, Baud rate should be the same as UART1 which is 115200

Now just connect TX and RX from MinimOSD to RX2 and TX2 on the Xracer (5V and GND too).

Hi Oscar

Thanks for the detailed information. I'll try it ASAP.

For the RSSI connection so do i just put it on the MinimOSD TXTSSI connection then?
Just take one cable from Frysky Signal cable to the TXTSSI?

Thanks

What RX are you using?

I'm trying to use my old Frysky TFR8 SB.

So i was thinking just plug the sbus cable from TFR8 to Xracer Sbus port
and Plug the RSSI from the TFR8 to MinimOSC TXTSSI with Ground

How did your board die? what is when you hooked up the OSD?

Just an update... MinimOSD works with XRacer (my new replacement)

I hooked it up to TX2 and RX2 on the XRacer, and in cleanflight configurator, under UART2, I Checked MSP with baud rate 115200.

that's it Smile

no... it just died when connected to the USB port... looked like a fried USB 5V diode...
I reported it to the seller and I was sent a new board.

Hey Oscar,

I am currently having an issue with connecting am micro minimosd to the version 1 xracer f303. I get a clean overlay but no matter what I do it only flashes disarmed no data. I am at a bit of a loss. I have double checked the TX/RX connections from the FC to the OSD, and I have MSP turned on in cleanflight on UART2 witha baud rate matching UART 1.

I followed this wiring diagram except I do not power the micro minim osd from the VTX. It is getting its 5v and ground from the UART2 pins.

Any help would be much appreciated.

you didn't mention so I am just checking, have you flashed the MinimOSD with latest MWOSD firmware, with the current FC firmware selected in the config file?
When you said no data, do you mean there is no text on the screen? or the values are zero or doesn't change?
