Wrong voltage measurements with esc sensor
#1
Hi
I have a problem with my esc voltage (i dont have readings with the onboard adc) readings. When i plug in my 4s lipo it says in betaflight that its a 3s with 11.3 volts. When i check the voltage in flight it is barly changing and i also have no current readings with the esc sensor and onboard adc.

I have a t-motor F7 flightcontroller and a t-motor p50a 4in1 esc

these are my Dump and diff all

You need to turn on telemetry in the configuration tab or run the following CLI commands

feature TELEMETRY
Save

I still have 11.3 volts readings form esc sensor and with onboard adc im getting no readings
and still have no current readings.
ive tried looking in other threads but i cant find a sollution

I am assuming that you are using a harness between the ESC and the FC. And that you have the pigtail of the lipo going to the ESC. If this is not true, then you need to tell me how you have it setup.

If true, then there could be a few issue. First issue, the ESC is not sending current draw data through ESC sensor. If that is the case, you need to change current source to "onboard ADC".

As for the voltage, that is really weird. Can you confirm that the voltage on your lipo is different than 11.3V? That means check your lipo voltage with a DMM or battery checker.

i have the harnas setup that u said
and the current also reading on the onboard adc
and my lipo charger said im holding around 16 Volts
so i dont know what the problem is

That is weird. Have you tried updating the ESC firmware?

I just tried down and upgrading my firmware and still have the same problem and nothing changed
im starting to think its a hardware problem and if so i might buy an external voltage and current sensor

If the voltage ADC is not working, even an external voltage will not work. I don't see where you can connect the external voltage sensor to the FC.

I thougt of souldering the sensor to the corrisponding tabs of the wiringharnas but if us say that it wont work i have no idea what to do.
So it must be a hardware problem i guess?

With troubleshooting and ruling things out, it is hard to say what the source of the problem is.

Have you tried changing voltage to ADC?

Yes if i change to ADC I get a reading of 0 volts and 0 amps

So after your post, two other members here are having issue with Tmotor ESC and telemetry. If I were you, I would see if I can get a refund for the esc.

So i should i get an other t-motor esc or one of an other brand

I would probably get another brand.
