0 I want to build a 3 Inch Freestyle Quad. Its all up weight is going to be, depending on the Motors, about 200g.
Now i am wondering which motorsize I should use, cause all I have read was eather 1404s or way bigger like 1408s or 1507... For the props i would use, also depending on the Motors, maby HQ 3,2,3 or HQ 3,3,3. Designwise i would like to use the 3,2,3s.
Can you guys give your oppinions and expieriences.
Thanks

Only reason to get bigger ones is if you're trying to drive some insanely aggressive props. Honestly wishing I had gone a bit smaller on mine (1407 currently), but I'm converting it to 4" soon so it evens out.

121 I’m a big fan of high kv 1408, 1506, or 1507 combined with 3x5x3 props.
But since it sounds like you plan on using lower pitch props, the 1404’s will suit you just fine.
Dangerous operations.
