When for FS HDO 3 ?

In my opinion, the video feed from analog is not worth more than $200 goggles. In fact, the Eachine EV800Ds are great value at about $100 US; these will also work for some pretty LONG Range. A lot of the long range guys run these.

If you don't want to race, don't care about long range, and have a deep wallet; then digital might be the way to go. Excellent video but at a cost.

If I wanted both, then I would buy a set of goggles for each; one for analog and one for digital. I am not sure what it costs to "jerry rig" the digital goggles for analog, but bet that just buying the analog goggles is not much more and easier to accomplish.

It's actually not that expensive and fairly easy to install from what I have researched. This module is the best one on the market from what i have read in reviews and such.

I do plan on buying one so I don't have to carry two different pairs of goggles when I go fly. It is compatible with TBS Unify,  Rapidfire, and True D. DJI doesn't get as far of range as analog but with the right antenna configuration you can go a few miles out with no problems. That's enough to surf some mountains and get some pretty wicked footage.

If you decide to go with the DJI FPV Goggles plus an analogue module then you would be better off getting one of the cheaper $13 side mounted URUAV analogue adapters (HERE) rather than the $60 BDI Digidapter IMO. That then enables you to fit the iFlight CRYSTAL or Lumenier AXII HD patch antennas to the front of the DJI FPV Goggles which give better performance than 4 omni antennas. If you were to use a BDI Digidapter then you won't then have an option to fit front mounted patch antennas to the DJI FPV Goggles.

That is definitely an option. As far as patch antennas go, the are many different options besides the faceplate antennas. I prefer the TrueRC Xair patch myself for range and performance. I feel the BDI is very secure and places your antennas in the front of the goggles. There are pros and cons to all of them and BDI is definitely expensive but the way I see it, I spent a lot of money on these goggles and im not gonna short change myself on accessories.
